The 2012 Versa Helps Nissan Set a New Record

Looking for a sub-compact that has impressed drivers, critics, and auto enthusiasts? How about one with the lowest starting MSRP in its class, an EPA-estimated (combined) 33-mpg, and the most cabin and storage room per dollar? Well, you've come to the right place! The all-new Nissan Versa has all of these things - and as of year-end 2011, has set an all-time annual sales record for Nissan.

For the entire year, Nissan dealers have sold a combined total of 99,730 Nissan Versa units. In December alone, the automaker moved 9,939 vehicles, nearly double that of the closest sub-compact competition. That's 24.2 percent of the market out of 13 total segment nameplates.

John Howard Nissan isn't at all surprised to hear this news. We love the Versa, just like many drivers here in the Morgantown area. Reflecting on the continued success of the sub-compact, Al Castignetti, VP & General Manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc., says, "The new Versa sedan has hit a sweet spot in the sub-compact segment...It's great to be the vehicle that everything is chasing - though with standard Versa Sedan innovations such as its dual injector system that burns cleaner and uses less fuel than a conventional injector design...we don't foresee the gap closing anytime soon."1

That's for sure. Want to learn more about why the 2012 Nissan Versa wins over more drivers than any other car in its class? There's no better way to find out than to take one for a test drive. Contact John Howard Nissan via our website to schedule a test drive, or stop by and see us at 1730 Mileground Morgantown, WV 26505 during our regular business hours.
